The philosophy of Polish & Glow Private Nail & Beauty Studio is to:

  • offer quality one to one treatments, using premium products at affordable prices
  • be inclusive and welcoming to all
  • work as sustainably as is practical

Polish & Glow offer a friendly, calming and relaxing experience for all, where quality treatments are balanced with affordability and sustainability, helping to reduce the impact on the world we live in.

Polish & Glow are committed to reducing the impact of the business on the earth without compromising on quality and strive to achieve this by:

  • supporting cruelty-free products
  • using glass or bamboo containers where possible, as opposed to plastic. Where plastic is used, Polish & Glow will ensure it is recycled and select BPA and phthalate-free plastic where possible.
  • serving all drinks in glass/china as opposed to single use plastic cups. Metal and bamboo straws are available upon request.
  • reducing packaging waste by using refillable products where possible, using recycled paper for notebooks etc. Clients are encouraged to take photos on their mobile of aftercare sheets rather than taking hard copies.
  • using quality cruelty free vegan gel polishes
  • providing the option of eco-friendly reusable (washable) make up remover bamboo pads as an alternative to cotton wool (request this during your consultation if desired)
  • using Fairtrade cotton wool where possible. Eco-friendly reusable & washable make up remover bamboo pads are also available upon request (see above)
  • having eco-friendly décor in all treatment rooms where possible, by using natural wood and using eco-friendly, cruelty free and water-based paint (Farrow & Ball) on all walls and ceilings which contain minimal VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds), reducing the amount of VOCs being emitted as gas into the air.
  • adopting energy saving practices (LED energy efficient lighting, being mindful of water consumption e.g. washing towels and reusable make up remover cloths, ensuring they are washed in gentle but efficient laundry detergent).
